Sessions and Fees
How do I work?
I work face to face at my practice in Hampton, Twickenham, but also online, and over the phone.
Sessions in Hampton take place in a calm, peaceful and comfortable environment.

When you first contact me by phone or email, we can briefly discuss your needs and agree a date and time to see each other. At your initial session we will together explore what has brought you to counselling along with any expectations you may have. We will be able to get a sense of each other and whether I am the right person for you.
How many sessions and how often?
I usually offer individual weekly sessions that last 50 minutes.
We can discuss what your needs are in our initial session.

The shortest I would agree to work with someone after the initial session is six weeks. Anything between 6-12 weeks would be considered short-term counselling, where we would focus on a specific issue.

Others may choose to work with me in an open-ended way, where much broader and deeper exploration takes place. Long-term counselling is considered anything longer than 12 weeks.

What are the fees?
My fee is £70 per session. You are primarily paying for my work, not the format the sessions take place in, so I charge the same for remote and in-person sessions. I have a limited number of low-cost slots.

Payment is due at the session by cash or card, or paid in advance online. Credit/debit card facilities will incur a small additional transaction fee.
I operate a 48 hours cancellation policy. Cancellations with 48 hours' notice will not incur a fee, otherwise the full fee is payable.
Other resources
If we are not able to find a time for an appointment, other therapists I would recommend in the London area are Daisy Beckham (King's Cross and Angel), Nika Jelendorf (Liverpool Street), Raphaela Fontenelle (London Bridge), and Shane Joshua (Peckham and Reigate). They all offer face-to-face and online sessions.
